The Mt. Rushmore Diabetic Foot Reconstruction Forum
continues to evolve with a focus on strengthening
communication across multidisciplinary care teams while
addressing the clinical controversies, complex cases and everyday challenges faced in diabetic limb preservation. Each year, the program will feature both a medical and surgical focus. In 2027, the forum is expected to include a dedicated renal day exploring end-stage renal disease (ESRD), perioperative management and the critical knowledge surgeons need to optimize patient care, followed by a Surgical Day featuring advanced techniques and hands-on cadaver lab training.
